Today, on Day 17 of the 28-Day Love Challenge, we find comfort in the powerful truth that Jesus is always with us—through every trial, every fire, and every season of life. Inspired by the lyrics:
“Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine.
He’s been my fourth man in the fire, time after time.”
These words remind us that no matter what we go through, we are never alone.
Jesus Walks With Us Through the Fire
Life is full of challenges—times when we feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or trapped in situations beyond our control. But just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3:24-25), Jesus walks with us through the flames.
In Isaiah 43:2, God promises:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Jesus is our “fourth man in the fire”, standing beside us, protecting us, strengthening us, and leading us safely through every trial.
Trusting in His Presence
Sometimes, when life gets hard, we wonder if God is really there. But faith reminds us that He is always near, even when we can’t see Him. His love surrounds us, and His presence never leaves us.
Today, take time to reflect on how Jesus has carried you through past struggles. If you’re in the fire right now, hold onto His promise—He is with you.

- Listen to “Blessed Assurance” and declare that He is yours.
- Share this message with someone who needs to know they are not alone.
